Ejele, a former Delta State lawmaker representing Warri North, defeated three other contestants to emerge the candidate of the party for forthcoming 2023 general elections.
He was declared winner of the poll after securing 176 votes from the 273 votes casted during the exercise held at the Warri Stadium on Monday.
The former Warri North chairman defeated his kinsman and former House of Representatives member, Hon. Daniel Reyenieju who polled 49 votes.
Chief Ayodele Ithihiwa, a renowned financial guru from Isoko, came third with 46 votes, while Kent Omatsone scored 2 votes in the race.
