The Minister of State for Labour, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, has congratulated former Lagos State governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Keyamo, who hails from Uvwie in Delta State, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for providing a level playing field for all presidential aspirants during the party’s primary held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria stated this in separate tweets on Wednesday immediately Asiwaju Tinubu was declared winner of the APC Presidential Primary.
He also took a swipe at former President Olusegun Obasanjo over what he described as imposition and interference of party primaries in 2007.
Keyamo, however, described Buhari as a true democratic and commended him for not interfering with the process that produced Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
He also commended Northern APC governors for ensuring that the presidential ticket of the APC was zoned to the South.
According to him, “OBJ are you watching? The kind of leadership OBJ failed to give @OfficialPDPNig in 2007 is what PMB just provided for the world to see: complete transparent process to pick a possible successor; no IMPOSITION; NO INTERFERENCE; who’s the democrat now? Congratulations.
“The heroes of APC Convention are the Northern Govs who reflected the extreme complexity of Nigeria in their decision to move power down South; and PMB who proved to his disciples that he is EVERYTHING but what he has been so unfairly accused of;congratulations again @officialABAT.”
