…Lauds Emerhor’s Leadership In Delta APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Evwreni Ward 8, Ughelli North Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, has passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, declaring both as their sole candidates for the 2027 election cycle.
The resolution, adopted at an enlarged ward meeting, also affirmed Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, OON, as the undisputed leader of the APC in Evwreni Ward 8.
Party leaders and members, in a show of unity, pledged to work in harmony under Olorogun Emerhor’s leadership to mobilise support for President Tinibu and Governor Oborevwori’s election victories.
The communique, signed by prominent party stalwarts including Hon. Samuel Mariere, Chief Engr. Samuel Adjogbe, Dr. Rufus Ebegba, and others emphasized total support for President Tinubu’s ongoing administration and endorsed him for a second term in 2027.
Similarly, Governor Oborevwori was hailed for his “outstanding leadership” in Delta State and adopted as the ward’s preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is unanimously adopted as the APC Presidential candidate for 2027,” the communique read. “Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is adopted as the APC Governorship candidate for the same election.”
In a major consolidation move, the ward also adopted all resolutions from the broader Ughelli LGA APC meeting held on June 6, 2025, at Emerhor’s residence, reinforcing his central leadership role.
The meeting further recognised Chief Jaro Omovudu Egbo, Chairman of Ughelli North LGA, pledging support for his administration. It also celebrated the integration of former PDP members into the APC fold, signaling a widening political base.
The communique, which was prepared by Chief Eric O.E. Osharode, ESQ, Chairman, and Comr. Samuel E.O. Dietake, JP, a member of the drafting committee, is said to be strategic in aligning and uniting the party, according to party insiders. This is designed to solidify the APC’s footing across Delta State and position the ward as a rallying point for broader political mobilization in 2027.
