The Deputy President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has applauded the leadership qualities of the former chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Prophet Jones Ode Erue on the occasion of his birthday.
In a special birthday message personally signed by Senator Omo-Agege, he extolled Prophet Erue for piloting the affairs of the party at a time it needed stabilisation to successfully challenge the monstrosity of the PDP in Delta State and record some historical electoral successes.
Describing Erue as “a truly progressive and committed party man,” Senator Omo-Agege lauded Erue’s invaluable contributions to the party saying: “All the monumental successes at the last elections are traceable to the foundation you laid as our Party Chairman. The Delta APC that is the darling of all comers today is your making. Until your coming, Delta was a no go area, a PDP stronghold. But your selfless leadership and guiding principles changed all that.
“You have consistently demonstrated integrity, wisdom, and a deep commitment to the progressive ideals of our democracy and I am proud to acknowledge that you mid-wife the process for me to become the Deputy President of the Senate.
“I will continue to be grateful for your unwavering support, wise counsel and steadfast partnership,” Senator Omo-Agege said.
“I wish you more grace, strength, and fulfillment and pray that God continues to grant you perfect health to continue to serve humanity,” he said.
