Assassins Reportedly Kill Delta PFN Secretary, Police Arrest Driver, Another


The Secretary General of the Delta State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Clarence Chinedu James, has been reportedly murdered by suspected assassins.

Bishop James, who was the General Overseer of Endtime Reconciliation Ministries in Asaba, the state capital, was gruesomely murdered by his killers on Tuesday.

Although details surrounding the incident remained sketchy at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the assailants also made away with the cleric’s vehicle after taking his life.

Meanwhile, Delta PFN has confirmed the killing of its scribe, describing the incident as tragic and unbelievable.

In a statement on Wednesday by Delta PFN Director of Press, Pastor Malcolm Oteri, on behalf of the State chairman, Bishop Abos Willie, demanded for urgent investigation and arrest of those behind the dastardly act.

It also announced that two persons including the deceased’s driver had been arrested by operatives of the Delta State Police Command.

PFN called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, to direct his men in the state to conduct a thorough probe into the unfortunate incident.

“The Delta State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN , has received with shock, news of the brutal killing of its General Secretary, Bishop Clarence Chinedu James.

“Until his sudden death, Bishop Clarence Chinedu James was the General Overseer of Endtime Reconciliation Ministries in Asaba, Delta State Capital.
Bishop Clarence Chinedu James lost his life on Tuesday, 12th of May, 2026 in an attack by yet to be identified assailants who made away with his vehicle.
Two men, including his driver , have been arrested by the Delta State Police Command and are undergoing interrogation.

“The Chairman, PFN , Delta State, Bishop Abos Willie has expressed deep sadness at the incident which has thrown the entire Pentecostal Fellowship in Delta State into mourning.

“Bishop Willie has called on the Inspector General of Police to direct a thorough investigation into the incident and bring the culprits to book”, the statement added.
