Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has alleged that the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Nigerian Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has been flown abroad for medical attention after he reportedly collapsed.

Fani-Kayode, who is one of the spokespersons for Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC, alleged that Atiku was flown to Paris on Tuesday.

He stated this on Tuesday in a post on his verified Twitter handle, while calling for prayer for the former Vice President.

The former Minister said Atiku reportedly fell on Monday after attending his party’s campaign on Monday in Abuja.

He further alleged that there were plots to hide the true state of Atiku’s health from Nigerians.

In the post, Fani-Kayode wrote, “After his outing in Kaduna yesterday @atiku (Atiku Abubakar) fell ill. He complained of dizzy spells & severe pains in his head & all over his body throughout the flight to Abuja.

“For the purposes of damage control they took pictures of him with others the following morning from Paris but please do not be fooled. There is something very wrong with the PDP presidential candidate in terms of his health & they don’t want the Nigerian public to know. Pray for him.”

But reacting to the allegation, one of the spokesperson of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Organisation, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, debunked the allegation, saying his principal (Atiku) held a meeting with European delegation on Tuesday.

Aniagwu, a commissioner for information in Delta State, however, did not state if the meeting held in Nigeria or abroad.

In a picture accompanying Aniagwu’s reaction to NIGER DELTA TODAY Online enquiring, Atiku was seen in the picture with former Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye with two others.
