Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has appointed Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake as the new Secretary to the Government of Anambra State (SSG).
The appointment was announced on Monday in a statement by the governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.
Nnake, 39, until her appointment, served as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in the state.
“She led the effective mobilization, planning, and allocation of state resources to drive socio-economic development,” the statement read.
The new SSG, a native of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area, is a finance and public sector professional with over 13 years’ experience spanning strategy, economic planning, and public finance.
She also served as Chairman of Solution Fun City Limited and held positions in key government agencies, including the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service Board.
Described as a reform champion, Nnake has been actively involved in driving ease of doing business reforms and coordinating social investment programmes in the state.
Before joining public service, she worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Nigeria, where she led several engagements across both local and international markets.
She was also part of the team that developed the Anambra Vision 2070 blueprint, a long-term development plan for the state.
An MBA holder from Lagos Business School, Nnake graduated with First-Class Honours in Accounting from Benson Idahosa University.
She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has attended executive programmes at Harvard Kennedy School.
