The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari have been laid to rest at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
Buhari was interred around 5:35 pm in the presence of President Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries, including family members.
Buhari, 92, passed on Sunday at a London hospital in the United Kingdom after a protracted illness.
The burial rite, which was conducted after solemn Islamic prayers in Daura, was held amid tears by a crowd of mourners from across Nigeria and abroad.
