BREAKING: Vice President Osinbajo Not Involved In Accident – Aide

The Presidency on Monday debunked reports that the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, was involved in an accident on his way to Owo, Ondo State where suspected terrorists murdered scores of worshippers on Sunday.

Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, made the clarification following media reports that Osinbajo was involved in accident.

Akande said the Vice President on his way to the airport en route Ondo State to commiserate with the people of Owo over Sunday attack stopped to rescue an accident victim along the Airport Road Abuja.

Osinbajo’s spokesman said the Vice President was already in Ondo en route to Owo area of the state.

“”On his (Osinbajo) way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, and ensured victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance. He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to the site of yesterday’s attack in Owo”, the statement read.
