Coronavirus: Confirmed Cases Rise To 42 In Nigeria, Two More In Ogun, Lagos

COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria have risen to 42, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.

NCDC disclosed this on tuesday via its twitter handle in line with its regular updates on the pandemic to Nigerians.

The agency which had earlier announced the confirmed cases to 40 late Monday evening, disclosed that two additional cases were recorded in Ogun and Lagos States.

According to the tweet, NCDC said “Two new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. One is in Lagos State and one in Ogun.

“One case is a returning traveller. The second case is a contact of a previously confirmed case.

“As of 1pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria – two discharged, one death.”
