A Federal High Court sitting in Asaba has nullified the Delta State Governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) where Chief Great Ogboru emerged as guber candidate in the just concluded 2019 general elections.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court gave the ruling on Thursday in a case filed by the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly and governorship aspirant on the APC platform, Engr. Victor Ochei.

Ochei, in the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1085/ 2018, had urged the court to declare the Delta APC governorship election where Ogboru emerged governorship candidate on September 30, 2018 as a nullity and illegal.

The plaintiff, represented by his lawyer Mr. Ahmed Rahi, SAN, argued that delegate lists used in the primary were unknown to the law and illegal thus the election should be declared invalid.
