Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated Jim Okodaso and Onome Okodiya on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), describing the recognition as a source of pride to the Urhobo Nation and Delta State.
Dafinone said the elevation of the two legal practitioners reflected their professional excellence, integrity and commitment to the administration of justice.
In a congratulatory statement, the senator described their admission into the Inner Bar as a significant milestone that had brought honour to the Urhobo Nation, Delta State and the Nigerian legal profession.
He said the achievement further reinforced the tradition of intellectual distinction and professional excellence among the Urhobo people.
According to Dafinone, the recognition was not only a personal accomplishment for the new senior advocates but also an inspiration to younger generations of legal practitioners and other professionals.
He, however, stressed that the prestigious rank came with greater responsibility, urging Okodaso and Okodiya to remain committed to upholding the rule of law, strengthening public confidence in the judiciary and advancing justice in the country.
“Their admission into the Inner Bar is a fitting recognition of their professional excellence, integrity, dedication and invaluable contributions to the administration of justice in our country,” he said.
The senator expressed confidence that the two lawyers would continue to distinguish themselves in the discharge of their professional responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria’s legal system.
He added that their accomplishments demonstrated that diligence, discipline and integrity remained enduring pathways to professional success.
