Dafinone Hails Urhobo Graduates Inducted As Medical Doctors


 

Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated a group of young Urhobo graduates on their induction as medical doctors at the University of Abuja, describing the feat as a proud moment for the Urhobo nation and Delta Central.

The induction ceremony, held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, formally admitted the graduates into the medical profession after years of rigorous academic and clinical training.

In a statement delivered on his behalf by Mrs. Oghor Okolo, the lawmaker said the achievement underscored the enormous potential of young people from the district when given the right support and opportunities to succeed.

He noted that the newly inducted doctors were among participants in his Meet-and-Greet engagements held in November 2024 and 2025, adding that their success reflected the impact of sustained mentorship and youth empowerment initiatives.

Dafinone congratulated Dr. John Oloche, Dr. Jerome Ekoh, Dr. John Agulefo and Dr. Thompson Onojuvwevwo for their resilience, discipline and commitment throughout their medical training, expressing confidence that they would make significant contributions to healthcare delivery in Nigeria and beyond.

The senator commended the parents, families, mentors and guardians of the new doctors for their sacrifices and unwavering support, noting that their encouragement played a crucial role in the success of the graduates.

Reaffirming his commitment to promoting academic excellence and youth development in Delta Central, Dafinone stressed that education and professional development remain indispensable to national growth.

He urged the newly inducted medical doctors to serve as worthy ambassadors of the Urhobo nation and Nigeria by demonstrating excellence, ethical conduct and selfless service in their careers.
