The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu failed woefully to deliver his ward and LGA to President Muhammadu Buhari in the last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election in Delta State in the results announced by INEC.

Kachikwu is from Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of  Delta State.

From the results announced by INEC for Aniocha North,  the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cleared the LGA with  12,996  votes.

Buhari, presidential candidate of the All progressives Congress (APC), could only garnered 3,674 votes in the entire Aniocha North LGA.

A former speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Engr. Victor Ochei, who also hails from Aniocha North LGA.

Ochei, an ally of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, also failed to deliver his war for Buhari.

He contested the governorship primary of the APC in the state but lost to Chief Great Ogboru who delivered his LGA for Buhari.

Buhari has not won any LGA from the Delta North and South Senatorial Districts in the results of the various LGAs announced by INEC so far.

Atiku is currently winning in 18 of 20 LGAs announced by INEC so far.

Buhari has won in two LGAs – Ughelli North and Ethiope East – where Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Chief Great Ogboru hail from.
