Delta Force defeat Warri Wolves in preseason friendly

Warri Wolves lost 0-1 to Delta Force of Asaba at the Warri City stadium on Thursday during a preseason friendly as both clubs extend their rivalry ahead of the new season for the Nigeria professional league.

The goal that separated both teams was scored in the 25th minutes by Julius Ufuoma with a 15 yard short to beat Wolves goalkeeper Onome Owho who was outstanding all through the game.

Warri Wolves had couple of chances to level up but the rugged defense of the Ambassadors were equal to the task during the entertaining match.

However, the return leg which was billed to hold on the 12th of February as been called off by the new Technical Director of the Asaba based side Emmanuel Deutcsh who was not comfortable with the rivalry and intense nature of the game.
