A native of Umutu in Ukwani Local Government Area, Delta State, Ruth is urgently appealing for public support to fund her critical medical treatment.

Ruth’s ordeal began when she suddenly fell ill, initially mistaking her symptoms for common ailments like malaria or typhoid. Despite receiving treatment, her condition worsened, leading to a series of tests that confirmed the devastating diagnosis of AML.

Her doctors have emphasized the need for immediate treatment, including essential medications, transfusions, and a stem cell transplant to give her a chance at recovery.

Currently admitted at Celltek Healthcare Medical Centre in Benin City, following a referral from Lily Hospital in Warri, Ruth describes the journey as overwhelming, both medically and emotionally. The financial burden is equally daunting, with treatment costs estimated at ₦58.4 million, an amount far beyond her family’s means.
