Eid-el-Kabir: Dafinone Urges Unity, Peace, Support For Less Privileged

Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace and compassion as Muslims across the country prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

Dafinone, in his Eid al-Adha message on Wednesday, urged citizens to support the less privileged and promote peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic or religious differences.

The lawmaker said the celebration symbolises faith, sacrifice, obedience and total devotion to God as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

He said, “Eid reminds us of the timeless virtues of faith, obedience, sacrifice and total devotion to God. It is a sacred season for reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment to the values that strengthen our families, communities and nation.”

The senator appealed to Muslims and Nigerians at large to uphold the spirit of love, generosity and unity during and after the festive period.

“As we celebrate, I urge us all to embrace the spirit of peace, compassion, generosity and unity that defines Eid al-Adha. Let us continue to show love to one another, support those in need and uphold mutual respect regardless of ethnic or religious differences,” he stated.

Dafinone also commended the Muslim community in Delta Central for what he described as their enduring contributions to peace, growth and development in the district.

According to him, their resilience, enterprise and commitment to peaceful coexistence remain invaluable to the progress of the region.

He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation and pledged continued support for initiatives targeted at youth empowerment, family development and improved livelihoods across communities.

The senator further urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the nation’s current challenges, stressing that collective effort and shared responsibility were key to building a safer and more prosperous country.

“Though challenges remain, we must continue to support one another and work collectively towards building a safer, stronger and more prosperous nation for generations to come,” he added.

Dafinone prayed for peace, wisdom and prosperity for the nation, while wishing Muslim faithful a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
