The Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, has constituted the recently dissolved Ughelli North Motor Park Revenue Committee with Comrade Cosmos Onobeyake as chairman.
Egbo, a lawyer, said the 11-man committee’s appointment takes immediate effect and charged the committee to be transparent in its revenue drive for the council.
He stated that the decision was part of the Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance revenue generation and streamline the administration of motor parks across the local government area.
The Ughelli North council boss warned that the new management committee must work with integrity and financial transparency.
The appointment of the new committee members was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Pastor Goodluck Unuavworho, on Monday.
According to the statement, the newly constituted committee is tasked with overseeing the effective management and collection of revenue from all designated motor parks within Ughelli North.
“The chairman emphasised that this move aligns with the council’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and improved service delivery to the people of Ughelli North”, the statement partly read.
The new Ughelli North Motor Park Revenue Committee has its chairman, Comrade Cosmos Onobeyake; Comrade Efe Ekaje as secretary, Adjarho Godwin as financial secretary, while Godspower Oharisi, Christopher Imoniunu, Johnson Orhi, Arthur Onoberhie, Felix Olokpa, Godwin Akpojotor, Oghenedoro Ewhubare, and Francis Asigo Oghenevwede will respectively serve as members.
