The stakeholders, who gathered at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun in Uvwie, Delta State, for a high-level strategic meeting, also unveiled the strategic plans to mobilised support and victories for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori in the next election.

The meeting was attended by top APC leaders, including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN; Senator representing Delta Central, Senator Ede Dafinone; former APC governorship candidate in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor; Delta APC chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie; member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency, Rev. Francis Waive, and others.

The meeting, which also drew senior government officials, top party leaders, and grassroots mobilisers, focused on strengthening party unity, internal discipline, and organisational cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Discussions centred on enhancing grassroots collaboration and refining the party’s political structure to ensure what participants described as a “defining and decisive” election year.

Moving the motion for the loyalty pledge, seconded by Chief Andrew Oru, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, praised President Tinubu for what he called significant progress in national security and economic stability.

“Nigeria is beginning to record improved security across various regions,” Keyamo said, attributing the gains to the President’s renewed efforts in tackling insecurity. He also lauded Governor Oborevwori for what he described as “unmatched infrastructural development” across Delta State.

Keyamo urged party members to remain united and vigilant as APC congresses approach, warning aspirants that no candidate would secure the party’s ticket “from Abuja” without the backing of local party leaders. He emphasised loyalty, internal harmony, and respect for party structures as critical ingredients for electoral victory.

State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, reflected on Delta’s shifting political landscape, highlighting the party’s realignment and growing momentum. He stressed the importance of deepening grassroots engagement and involving respected elders in party affairs. Sobotie expressed confidence that the APC was on course for a landslide victory in 2027.

Also speaking, Chairman of Delta Central APC, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, cautioned against indiscipline and factionalism within the party, describing the senatorial district as the “political engine room” of the APC in the state.

“One of the major problems confronting us today is indiscipline among some members, especially within certain local government and ward executives,” he said.

He declared that Delta APC recognised only Governor Oborevwori as its leader, insisting that any form of allegiance outside that structure would not be tolerated.

Akpeki announced new reforms, including mandatory monthly senatorial meetings to rotate across the eight LGAs and the creation of a Delta Central APC Caucus Committee. The committee will be responsible for strategic planning, conflict resolution, mobilisation, and performance tracking.

“Our mission is too important and the stakes too high for indiscipline or division,” he added. “Delta Central APC must operate as one family, with one structure, one leadership, one direction, and one objective: victory in 2027.”

Other speakers, including Senator Ede Dafinone; Hon. Ejiro Waive; Executive Director of NEXIM Bank, Stella Okotete; Chief Solomon Igrakpata; and Chief Andrew Oru, echoed similar sentiments, calling for unwavering unity within the party.

Local Government APC chairmen present at the gathering also pledged to deliver maximum votes for President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
