The city of Ughelli in Delta State is set to host the first-ever Ukodo Nation Banquet on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Oil City Motel, along the ever-busy Effurun/Ughelli Expressway, as part of a large-scale mobilisation effort in support of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s re-election bid in 2027.
The event, being organised by elder statesman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun Morrison Olori, is expected to draw over 10,000 supporters, including party leaders, appointees, and loyalists from across Delta’s three senatorial districts.
The event which is slated for Saturday September 6th, 2025, will commence at exactly 1:30pm.
Themed “Ukodo Nation”, the banquet will serve the Urhobo traditional delicacy Ukodo in honour of the governor’s traditional title, Ukodo R’ Okpe Kingdom.
The event aims to celebrate and galvanise support for Governor Oborevwori’s achievements under the M.O.R.E Agenda, while uniting various APC support groups behind his second-term ambition.
Olorogun Olori emphasised the need for unity within the APC and encouraged Deltans to rally behind the governor to continue his infrastructural and economic transformation of the state.
