The Senator Representing Delta Central in the National Assembly, Senator Ede Dafinone, has congratulated Mr. Victor Erivwode on his elevation to the rank of Commissioner of Police in the Nigeria Police Force.
Senator Dafinone described Erivwode’s promotion as both well-deserved and a source of immense pride for the Urhobo people in Niger Delta.
In a statement on Monday, Dafinone commended CP Erivwode for his years of “unwavering dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service” to Nigeria, emphasising that his promotion is a testament to hard work and integrity within the police force.

Senator Dafinone highlighted CP Erivwode’s distinguished tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Rivers State, where he led complex investigations and contributed significantly to public safety.
“His exceptional leadership and investigative prowess were evident during this time, as he played a crucial role in tackling complex criminal cases,” Dafinone stated.
The Delta Central lawmaker described the promotion not only as a personal milestone for CP Erivwode but also as an inspiration for young people within the Urhobo community. “His rise through the ranks is a shining example of meritocracy at its best,” he said.
