The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Ede Dafinone, has led a wave of jubilation across Delta State with his glowing tribute to His Royal Majesty, Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Eyanvwien-Alaka 1, on his coronation as the 14th Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom.
Senator Dafinone also felicitates the new monarch on his 71st birthday which coincided with his ascension to the revered ancient Olomu stool in Delta State.
In a statement brimming with delight, the senator described the twin celebration as “a divine convergence of grace and renewal” for the ancient Olomu Kingdom, noting that it was rare for a people to witness both a historic coronation and a royal birthday on the same day.
Dafinone extolled the new monarch’s towering achievements in the legal profession, pointing to his rise to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria and his fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as proof of a career anchored on integrity, discipline and excellence.
According to him, these sterling virtues make Akpomudje eminently suited for the sacred responsibility of guiding the cultural heritage, unity and destiny of Olomu Kingdom.
“His Majesty has long been a bridge-builder, a voice of reason and a tireless advocate for Urhobo unity,” the senator affirmed. “His leadership experience assures us that his reign will bring renewed harmony, purposeful development and a deepened sense of pride to Olomu people.”
Dafinone prayed for divine wisdom, good health and long life for the monarch, expressing optimism that his reign would usher in peace and prosperity, not only for Olomu Kingdom but for the entire Urhobo Nation.
