Senator Dafinone Hails Ex-Gov Uduaghan At 71, Lauds His Legacy


 

The senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has felicitated with former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, on the occasion of his 71st birthday.

In a statement personally signed by the lawmaker on Wednesday, Dafinone described Uduaghan as “a political leader whose maturity and sagacity have continued to inspire many across the Niger Delta.”

 

While acknowledging the former governor’s contributions to the development of Delta State, the senator highlighted Uduaghan’s strides in healthcare, education, and security during his time in office, saying they provided a solid foundation for successive administrations.

 

“His tenure as Governor laid significant groundwork for socio-economic stability, particularly through his landmark commitment to healthcare, education, and security, creating a sustainable foundation upon which subsequent administrations continue to build,” the statement read.

 

Dafinone also praised Uduaghan’s continued influence in Delta politics, describing his wise counsel and role in fostering unity as “invaluable assets” to the state.

He prayed for more years of service to humanity for the celebrant, wishing him joy, fulfillment, and renewed strength.

 

Uduaghan, a medical doctor and politician, served as Governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015.
