In a heartfelt statement on Wednesday, the lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly reflected on the state’s journey of transformation, from early infrastructural challenges to present-day strides in education, healthcare, and human capital development.

“Delta State is a beacon of resilience, diversity, and progress in Nigeria’s federation,” Senator Nwoko said. “Thirty-four years of Delta is thirty-four years of collective struggles, triumphs, and aspirations.”

He lauded the visionary leadership of Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and expressed strong support for the Governor’s M.O.R.E Agenda, which he described as a “promising framework for inclusive growth and people-centered development.”

“If equitably executed across the three senatorial districts, this agenda will deliver development to every corner of Delta,” Nwoko said, adding that the initiative must reach not only urban hubs like Asaba and Warri but also the rural, riverine, and agrarian communities often left behind.

“The soul of our state lies not only in our cities but in our villages and riverine settlements, where our people most eagerly await the dividends of democracy,” he emphasized.

Senator Nwoko also called for increased empowerment of youths and women, describing them as the “backbone of the state’s future.”

“The future belongs to our youths and women. They should be empowered with opportunities to thrive and sustain Delta’s legacy,” he urged.

Reiterating the need for unity and shared responsibility, Nwoko encouraged all stakeholders to work together to support the current administration and build “the Delta of our dreams.”

“Governance is a collective responsibility,” he said, adding, “With unity of purpose, we can create a stronger, more inclusive Delta State for generations to come.”
