Warri Urhobo APC Leaders Pass Vote Of Confidence On Tinubu, Oborevwori, Joel-Onowakpo, Obire As Okumagba Hosts Party Members

As part of efforts to strengthen membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Warri Federal Constituency of Delta State, Warri Urhobo APC leaders have agreed to work together and support the administrations of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as well as other elected officials of the party.

 

They also passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator representing Delta South senatorial District, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, and the member representing Warri South Constituency 2 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Benson Obire.

 

The Warri Urhobo APC leaders said President Tinubu was on the right track towards repositioning the country, stressing that his policies and transformational strategies were already yielding desired fruits for the general good of Nigerians.

 

The leaders stated this in a communiqué issued at the end of a meeting hosted by the leader of Warri Urhobo APC and former commissioner for Finance, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, to welcome new and old members of the party in Warri recently.

At the meeting, attended by over 300 party leaders, including the member representing Warri South Constituency 2 at the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Benson Obire; Chief Isreal Abido; Chief Western Adehor; Chief Birinus Ojogri; Rev. David Utofia; Chief Mark Ikpuri; Chief (Mrs) Ann Iniovisa, and Chief Peter Agiri, the Warri Urhobo APC leaders agreed to strengthen the party and work in unison.

 

They commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his infrastructural development in the state and pledged to support his administration in achieving the “MORE Agenda” across the state.

 

The communiqué, however, urged the President Tinubu-led federal government, Governor Oborevwori-led state government and senatorial representative to spread development projects and appointments across the four tribes of Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri and Urhobo which constitute Delta South Senatorial District.

 

The communiqué read, “Warri Urhobo APC Leaders and Members met in Warri today Saturday the 3rd of May 2025.

“At an expanded and well attended meeting hosted by Olorogun Bernard Okumagba – the Warri Urhobo APC Leader – and attended by Leaders and Members from the Urhobo Wards in Warri South LGA, the following resolutions were passed after exhaustive reviews and discussions:

 

“The meeting welcomed the new members from PDP who have joined the party.

 

“The meeting resolved that both old and new members should work together harmoniously in the various Wards

 

“The Meeting passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It noted that our President has done well and is on the right track, repositioning our Country for greater progress.

 

“The Meeting passed a vote of confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. The meeting noted the giant strides being made by Governor Oborevwori in the Infrastructural development of the State.

 

“The Meeting passed a vote of confidence on Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, senator representing Delta South Senatorial District and  commended him for his effective representation of the Senatorial District at the Senate.

“The meeting passed a vote of confidence on Hon Benson Obire and commended his representation of Warri South Constituency 2 at the Delta State House of Assembly

 

“The meeting reminded the Leadership at the Senatorial Level, at the State Level and at the Federal Level that infrastructure development,  and other dividends of democracy from Government should be evenly and equitably spread amongst the tribes and constituent parts of our Delta South Senatorial District which comprises 4 (four) indigenous ethnic groups of Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri and Urhobo.”

 

The meeting convened by Olorogun Bernard Okumagba was attended by other chieftains of the party, including Chief Coach Obire, Chief Goddy Onotor, Chief Stephen Dolor, Hon. Gabriel Okandeji, Hon. Emma Okandeji, Hon. Ese Azakaza, Mr. Davies Akhigbe, Chief Fred Dolor, Chief Onoriode Okoh, Hon. Festus Igherebo, Gabriel Omorere, Benji Eboh, and many others.
