VASPA Appoints Rume Ophi As Programs And Communications Lead

The Virtual Assets and Service Providers Association (VASPA) has announced the appointment of Rume Ophi as its Programs and Communications Lead, reinforcing its commitment to advancing Africa’s virtual assets and blockchain ecosystem.

In an official communication issued by the association, VASPA said Ophi’s excellent and distinguished career, as well as his significant contributions to the virtual asset industry as key factors behind the appointment.

The appointment was contained in a statement jointly signed by VASPA’s Founding Trustee, Senator Ihenyen; Trustee, Buki Ogunsakin, and Secretary, Gabriel Eze.

The association described the appointment as a strategic step toward strengthening its advocacy and engagement efforts across the continent, noting that Ophi’s expertise will play a critical role in shaping programs and amplifying communication within the rapidly evolving sector.

VASPA emphasised that the role offers Ophi an opportunity to contribute to the development of the emerging virtual assets space while advancing his professional trajectory. The organization added that it looks forward to leveraging his knowledge, skills, and experience to enhance its initiatives.

VASPA is an advocacy organisation focused on promoting the growth and development of virtual assets and blockchain innovation across Africa, with an emphasis on collaboration, education, and policy engagement.

Ophi, one of the leading voices in the virtual asset and blockchain industry in Africa, is the founder of Cryptopreacher Academy Nigeria and Crypto analyst.

He is also the spokesperson for the influential Urhobo Renaissance Society (URS), a prominent body of Urhobo intellectuals and policy-oriented think tanks.
