Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Warri Urhobo extraction have thrown their weight behind President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, passing a vote of confidence on both leaders for what they described as positive governance at the federal and state levels.
The endorsement came on Friday, December 12, 2025, during a well-attended expanded meeting of Warri Urhobo APC leaders and members held at the Warri residence of the Chairman of the Warri Urhobo APC Leadership Council, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba.
The meeting, which drew leaders and members from six Urhobo wards in Warri South Local Government Area, deliberated extensively on political, developmental and electoral issues affecting the Warri Urhobo people and Delta South Senatorial District.
After exhaustive discussions, the meeting unanimously passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, commending them for their leadership and developmental efforts.
The gathering also reminded governments at all levels that Delta South Senatorial District is made up of four indigenous ethnic nationalities—Ijaw, Isoko, Itsekiri and Urhobo—and urged political leaders to ensure that infrastructure development and other dividends of democracy are evenly and equitably distributed among all constituent groups.

The leaders and members further resolved to work in unity and remain vigilant in protecting Warri Urhobo interests at all times.
On the lingering ward delineation exercise in the Warri Federal Constituency, as ordered by the Supreme Court, the meeting called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conclude the exercise without further delay in compliance with the apex court’s directive.
The APC stakeholders also commended Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and Senator Ede Dafinone for what they described as their “principled stand” at the National Assembly, insisting that INEC must complete the delineation exercise. They agreed that any aggrieved individuals or groups should seek redress in court only after INEC concludes the process.
On voter mobilisation, the meeting reviewed the activities of the 14-member committee set up in August 2025 to drive the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise in Warri Urhobo wards. Members commended the committee for its efforts so far and urged it to intensify mobilisation ahead of the second phase of the CVR scheduled to commence in January 2026, to ensure all eligible voters are duly registered.

The meeting was attended by prominent APC leaders, former and serving political office holders, women leaders, youth representatives and ward coordinators, including Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, Chief Benson Obire, Chief Vincent Okudolor, Rev. Dave Otofia, Chief Victor Okumagba, Chief Westham Adehor, Chief Mark Ikpuri, Chief (Mrs) Ann Gagiyovwe, Chief Charlie Esharegaran, Chief (Mrs) Ann Iniovosa, Hon. Gabriel Okandeji, Hon.
