Sheriff Oborevwori, for a second term in office was based on their commitment to development, peace, stability and inclusive governance.

The organisers said the endorsement, which took place during a massive rally held in Warri on Sunday, reflected the confidence of the Itsekiri people and other residents of Delta State in the leadership of both Tinubu and Oborevwori.

In a post-rally appreciation statement signed by Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, Alex Eyengho, the committee noted that the support for the two leaders was driven by visible infrastructural projects and developmental strides recorded under their administrations.

According to the statement, Governor Oborevwori’s execution of key projects in Warri and riverine communities, including the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri Road and rehabilitation of strategic roads, contributed significantly to the endorsement.

The committee expressed appreciation to thousands of Itsekiri sons and daughters, as well as Urhobo, Ijaw, Isoko, Anioma, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo and other ethnic nationalities who attended the rally in solidarity.

It also thanked Governor Oborevwori for honouring the invitation of the Itsekiri people and for reaffirming his administration’s commitment to more development across Delta State.
