A pan Niger Delta youth group, Niger Delta Peace Movement (NDPM) has urged Niger Deltans to vote massively for President Muhammadu Buhari/Prof. Yemi Osinbajo ticket in their bid for re-election in the forthcoming general elections next month.

The President of NDPM, Comrade Douye Alhaji Kebbi, who is also Coordinator, Niger Delta Peace Movement of the Presidential Support Committee 2019, said this in a press statement issued on Friday in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

Comrade Kebbi explained that President Buhari had brought sanity to the system, stressing no President ever ruled Nigeria had fought corruption with relentless vigour the same way Buhari had done.

He said there was need to continue the fight against corruption to completely rid the country of the menace, hence, the need for continuity.

The group reeled out some of the achievements of the Buhari/Osinbajo administration in the Niger Delta, which included adequate funding of NDDC, sustenance of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, establishment of the Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta state and others.

They also lauded the proposed railway projects to link the Niger Delta states as well as the modular refinery initiative which they said would benefit Niger Deltans when implemented.

“By reason of these and many other achievements, re-electing President Buhari/Osinbajo would mean development for the oil-rich region, and we urged well-meaning youths in the region to remain committed to Buhari’s re-election.

“There is no better choice than for Niger Delta Youths to harness their time and resources to actualize the re-election bid of President Buhari next month”, the group said.
