Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has denied allegation by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state that he had imported ammunition to foment trouble during the February 16th and March 2nd general elections.

Umahi, who spoke at Isiaka, the Council headquarters of Ivo local government area of the state, said such rumour could only come from politicians who had already been defeated in the forthcoming elections.

The governor, who was Isiaka for his re-election campaign on Wednesday, however, warned opposition parties in the state against promoting electoral violence in the state.

He said his government would probe all federal government road projects being executed by the APC governorship candidate, Senator Sunny Ogbuoji in the state.

According to Umahi, “Let me warn him (Ogbuoji) that any danger to the life of each Ebonyi man will spell danger to his own life. I have never asked anybody to purchase gun to participate in violence or to purchase knife or anything.”

The governor who accused the APC candidate for failing to deliver quality job in ongoing federal government projects in the state, threatening to ensure that Ogbuoji vomits every Kobo he embezzled from the money meant for the projects.

According to the governor all the road projects being executed by Ogbuorji had already failed, nothing that he won’t allow any substandard project to be executed in the state under his watch.

“I am going to probe all the federal government roads that he (Ogbuorji) is currently doing that have already failed.  I will probe all of them and the street light project and I assure you that I will make him vomit every Kobo that he has embezzled in those projects.

“I don’t waste my time talking about Ogbuoji because I know his capacity. You cannot compare him with this man standing here (referring to himself). We are no match. So, don’t waste your time talking about him.

“I want him to come and debate with me I won’t waste my time on him. I am a divine project. Who was he before we pushed him into politics? So, don’t waste your time on him”, Umahi said.

The Governor who is canvassing for his second term in office, advised the PDP supporters not to attack any person or destroy posters/ billboards of candidates of other political parties in the state, saying, there was no need since they are already coasting to victory.

“I want to advice you: do not attack anybody and do not tear anybody’s posters or destroy bill boards. We are in charge. And so, if in the mixed of God, there is devil. Does devil matter before God? No!  So, God allowed devil to exist till the last day. Our own last day for the devils is on February 16 and March 2nd of 2019”.

A former Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Pius Anyim, said PDP has no opposition in the upcoming general elections in the state.

The State PDP Chairman, Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi, in his remark appealed to the people to vote all the PDP candidates including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the party. End
