The candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress for Warri Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Comrade Sheriff Mulade PhD, has expressed gratitude to delegates, supporters and constituents following his victory in the party’s primary election.
Mulade, who emerged winner of the keenly contested primary held on Friday in Delta State, described the outcome as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in him by the people of the constituency.
In a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists, the environmental rights activist and peace advocate said he was humbled by the mandate entrusted to him and pledged to provide effective and people-oriented representation if elected.
According to him, the victory belongs not only to him but to all residents of Warri Federal Constituency who believe in good governance, unity and sustainable development.
“I deeply appreciate all those who participated in the electoral process, especially the delegates, supporters and well-wishers who stood firmly behind my aspiration. Your support, trust and confidence mean a great deal to me,” he said.
Mulade assured constituents that their interests would remain his priority, adding that the mandate placed on him a greater responsibility to serve.
He also called for unity and peaceful coexistence among the three major ethnic groups in the constituency — the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo.
According to him, the future development of Warri Federal Constituency depends on collaboration, mutual respect and inclusiveness among all communities.
The NDC candidate noted that the outcome of the primary election reflected the desire of the people for inclusive leadership and grassroots-driven representation.
“I dedicate this victory to God Almighty and all the people of Warri Federal Constituency whom I seek to serve. This mandate is a call to greater responsibility, and I assure you that I will not let you down.
“Together, we shall build a constituency where every community has a voice and every citizen has a stake in our collective progress,” he added.
Mulade further urged party members and supporters to remain united as the party prepares for the next stage of the electoral process.
He said sustaining victory would require commitment, solidarity and a shared vision for the development of Warri Federal Constituency.
