…Rivers Police Recovers Decomposing Corpse

The Rivers State Police Command on Wednesday recovered the decomposing corpse of a kidnapped victim, Ereba Gospel Dinabari whom his abductors killed after collecting one million naira ramson from the deceased’s relations.
This is coming barely three weeks after Rivers Police also uncovered a septic tank where the corpse of a kidnapped victim was kept by his killer after collecting ransom from the deceased’s family.
Two of the suspected kidnappers led police operatives to their hideout in Alesa, Eleme Local Government Area (LGA) where the decomposing corpse of the victim was seen hanging on a tree where he was tied.
The two kidnapping suspects are Osundu Uchendu ‘m’ 25 yrs and Amebulem Amos ‘m’ 23yrs and other fleeing suspects were alleged to have kidnapped the victim on 15/5/2020 at Woji, Obio Akpor LGA of Port Harcourt.

Rivers Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, told journalists on Wednesday at the kidnappers’ hideout that, “Operatives of the Anti- Kidnapping Unit, while doing a follow up in the Kidnap of Dinabari ‘m’ who was kidnapped on 15/5/2020 at Woji, Obio Akpor LGA, Port Harcourt, where the ransom was paid yet victim not released.
“The Commander of Anti-Kidnapping Unit yesterday 14/7/2020 led the Operatives and stormed Alesa, in Eleme LGA where two suspects, namely: Osundu Uchendu ‘m’ 25 yrs and Amebulem Amos ‘m’ 23yrs were arrested.

“Their confessions led the Operatives to a forest at Alesa in Eleme LGA, where the victim’s decomposing body was found tied to a tree.”
“The Toyota Spider car belonging to the victim was recovered. The suspects have confessed to have carried out several kidnappings around Woji, Abuloma, Peter Odili Road and Eleme Communities.
“Investigation is still ongoing and they will be charged to Court as soon as Investigation is concluded.”
