The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 governorship election in Delta, Dr. Goodnews Agbi, has felicitated with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his 100 days in office.

Agbi, who was recently appointed as Special Adviser to Governor Oborevwori, particularly lauded the Delta governor for his people-oriented projects that were executed and inaugurated within the first 100 days of the Oborevwori-led PDP administration in the state.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued on Friday following the inauguration of projects executed by the Oborevwori’s government.

Agbi thanked Governor for the swift mobilisation of contractors for the immediate completion of the Ughelli-Asaba as well as inclusion of youths to present administration inine with electioneering campaign promises to the people of Delta.

The former governorship candidate noted that the Oborevwori-led administration has hit the ground running, stressing that Deltans were enjoying the benefits of voting and electing a grassroot politician to govern the oil-rich state.

While congratulating Oborevwori on his 100 days in office, Agbi, a renowned educationist, said “Your Excellency, as a participatory and people friendly politician cum governor, Deltans did not find it difficult to see you as the chosen One, thus, voting for you overwhelmingly during the gubernatorial election.

“And, you have shown capacity in enhancing the people’s trust in you through the delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people in your 100 days in office viz: Your choice of being youth friendly in your appointments as shown in your newly inaugurated cabinet.

“Your swift move in mobilizing to site contractors of the Ughelli Asaba dual carriage way. Approving the promotions and payment of arrears for public servants in the state.

“Approving different construction projects across the three Senatorial Districts of the state in your first inaugural Exco meeting. Your result-oriented approach to peace and security in the state.

“Other infrastructural projects completed and ready for commissioning to mark your 100 days in office; and many more are testament to your dynamic, charismatic, sagacious and people oriented government to deliver the M.O.R.E agenda to the people of Delta State.”

Agbi restated that Oborevwori has the capacity to deliver on his campaigns promises, and assured Deltans that the state will record unprecedented development under the current administration.

“Your Excellency, I have implicit confidence in you and your government and that Deltans will in the end say, God, you indeed gave us Your Chosen One”, he added.

He prayed God to continue to give Rt. Hon. Oborevwori Christ-like wisdom and disposition to deliver the M.O.R.E agenda to the people of Delta.
