A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former chairman of the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Engr. Henry Minabowanre Baro, has commended the three senators from the state for supporting the ministerial screening of Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN).

Baro noted that the unity displayed by the three senators – Senators James Manager (Delta South), Peter Nwoaboshi (Delta North) and DSP Ovie Omo-Agege (Delta Central) – during the screening showed that Deltans are united beyond politics.

In a statement signed by the 2019 APC House of Representatives candidate for Uvwie, Okpe and Sapele Constituency also congratulated Keyamo on his nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari as minister representing Delta State at the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Baro expressed confidence that Keyamo, a respected activist and anti-corruption crusader, would bring his wealth of experience into any ministerial office he is given by President Buhari.

The former council boss also particularly commended the Deputy Senate President, Senator Omo-Agege for his fatherly role during the screening.

He said, “thanked the Delta State Senate caucus for their believe and support given to my elder brother, political leader and boss, Festus Keyamo, SAN, during the screening exercise.

“I’m particularly delighted with Keyamo’s competency, intelligence and doggedness during the screening which he (Keyamo) turned into a lecture hall as Senators where seen nodding their heads in affirmation of brilliancy and suggestions to move the country forward.

“There was a total calmness as Kayemo make it clear to Senators that even public officers are the real ambassador and crusaders of activism because of their roles they play fighting for their constituents and he further make it more clearer that activism is not when you buy an android phone and begin to insult people on social media.”

Baro, however, praised Keyamo’s proposal for six regional Supreme Courts in the country, adding that the ministerial nominees displayed high knowledge of how to resolve some of the issues bedeviling the country.

He also assured that Keyamo would make Urhobo Nation and the people of Delta State proud as minister, adding “Keyamo is very passionate about Urhobo and the Nigeria at large.

“Keyamo’s nomination is an assurance of a better Nigeria and the actualization of the ‘Next Level’ of President Buhari’s administration.”
