President Muhammadu Buhari has requested state governors in the country to nominate doctors, nurses and other health workers for training by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on how to tackle the spread of the novel COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Buhari said the move will help curtail the spread of the virus by having well trained medical workers who are expected to work in various states to curb further spread of the disease in the country.
Mr. President stated this on Sunday during a nationwide broadcast on the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.
