The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State, Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka, and members of the State Working Committee.
In a statement issued on March 3, 2026, Dafinone described the peaceful and transparent conduct of the party’s state congress as a testament to the APC’s democratic credentials and growing cohesion in the state.
He said the emergence of Arenyeka and other members of the executive reflected the confidence reposed in them by party faithful and urged them to justify the mandate through purposeful and unifying leadership.
The lawmaker called on the new leadership to consolidate internal democracy and strengthen party structures across the 25 local government areas of the state.
“As we approach critical political engagements, unity must remain our uncompromising watchword,” he said, urging the executive to foster reconciliation and harmonise interests within the party.
Dafinone added that the APC must intensify mobilisation efforts and entrench discipline and accountability to position the party as a dominant political force in Delta State.
He expressed readiness to work with the new State Working Committee to advance the party’s vision and promote sustainable development in the state.
