The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on his recognition as Minister of the Year 2025/2026 at the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.
In a statement issued on Monday, Dafinone described the award as well-deserved, noting that it reflects Keyamo’s bold leadership, strategic reforms and commitment to repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector for greater efficiency, safety and global competitiveness.
According to the lawmaker, the aviation ministry has witnessed renewed direction and strengthened regulatory focus under Keyamo’s stewardship, alongside purposeful engagement with critical industry stakeholders.
He said the honour was not merely a personal milestone for the minister but a validation of measurable progress in a sector crucial to national development.
Dafinone added that Keyamo’s performance aligns with the broader vision of sustainable growth and institutional excellence in the country’s aviation and aerospace space.
“As a proud son of the Urhobo Nation and Delta State, this achievement resonates deeply with us. I celebrate his dedication to public service and wish him continued wisdom and success in advancing Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace agenda,” the statement read.
