Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as Governor of the Year 2025 by two national newspapers.
Oborevwori received the double honours from New Telegraph and Leadership Newspapers, a development Dafinone described as a clear validation of the governor’s visionary leadership and the impact of his administration’s M.O.R.E. agenda.
In a congratulatory message, the senator said the awards were well-deserved and reflective of Oborevwori’s commitment to people-oriented governance.
“It is with great pride and a sense of shared accomplishment that I extend warm congratulations to our Governor on this remarkable feat,” Dafinone said.
He noted that the governor’s policies had fostered inclusivity and ensured that the dividends of democracy were felt beyond government circles.
According to him, the administration’s performance in infrastructure stands out, with widespread road construction, bridges and urban renewal projects redefining the state’s landscape.
“Across the length and breadth of Delta State, the landscape is being transformed. The state has effectively become a vibrant construction site,” he said, adding that the projects were laying a solid foundation for long-term economic prosperity.
Dafinone assured the governor of the continued support and collaboration of the Delta Central Senatorial District, describing the awards as both recognition of hard work and a mandate to sustain the pace of development.
He urged the governor to remain steadfast in advancing the vision of a greater Delta, noting that the accolades reflect the confidence reposed in his leadership.
