The lawmaker representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Mr Ede Dafinone, on Monday congratulated the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a symbol of integrity and dedicated public service.
Dafinone, in a statement issued on Monday, said Onyeme’s life and career had been marked by humility, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of Delta State.
He noted that the deputy governor had continued to earn admiration across the state and beyond through his sense of duty and people-oriented leadership style.
The senator particularly commended Onyeme’s working relationship with the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, stating that their collaboration had significantly contributed to the successes recorded under the administration’s MORE Agenda.
According to him, Onyeme’s teamwork and administrative competence have strengthened governance, improved service delivery, and ensured that the dividends of democracy reach grassroots communities.
He added that the deputy governor’s calm disposition, loyalty, and tact had played a crucial role in sustaining stability within the state government.
