Barely 24 hours after ‘signing peace accord’ with his estranged political godfather and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has approved appointment of five new permanent secretaries in the state civil service.
The appointment, according to the State Government is aimed toward strengthening governance and administrative performance in the state.
According to a Government Special Announcement issued by the Head of the Rivers State Civil Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Inyingi Brown, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the Government named the appointees to include Dr. Vincent Worgu Wachukwu, Cordelia Uwuma Eke, Ifeanyi Anthony Ogboma, Dr. Mina Gogo Jim-Jaja, and Henry Uzor.
The announcement stated that the appointments take immediate effect, underscoring the administration’s ongoing commitment to reinforcing administrative efficiency and improving service delivery across ministries, departments, and agencies of government.
It further revealed that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries will be sworn in by the Governor on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, marking the formal commencement of their responsibilities in steering key aspects of the state’s public service.
