“Mr Fix It” of the Delta State politics and former governor of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, has reechoed reasons why Governor Ifeanyi Okowa should be returned for another four years as governor of the state.

The former governor, who ensured Okowa became governor while still in prison at the United Kingdom, said the governor is the most competent person among those gunning for the state’s number one seat.

Ibori , speaking on Friday at the  flag-off of campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Oghara, his home town, told the people of the state that aside Okowa being competent, Delta North Senatorial District (Anioma) should still been given an additional four years as governor.

He, however, warned against crisis during the 2019 general elections, stressing that Okowa will lead all the candidates of the PDP to victory the general elections commencing next month.

While listing why Okowa should be supported, Ibori observed, “Governor Okowa is competent, capable, knowledgeable and have the capacity to govern the state for another four years. Governor Okowa deserves another term. I am indeed very pleased with you, your achievements.

“We should allow the Anioma people to complete their two terms. It is the turn of the Anioma people and don’t let anyone deceive you.”

The former governor noted that the peace of the state was very paramount and as such, Governor Okowa should be allowed to complete his second term in office in line with rotation of power that exists in the state.

According to the Oghara strongman, “Please, in the name of God, don’t come to Delta State to cause trouble.  This is democracy, tell the people what you will do, sell your programmes to the people. Anybody that is planning anything that is bad for our state, God will not allow it.”

Continuing, he reminded Governor Okowa, “In your first tenure, you launched your campaign in Oghara and today, you are here to launch your campaign, it means you know your history and as the head of this political family, I declare and decree that you have all it takes to lead this battle for all the candidates of our party to win in the elections.”
