Peace, who was kidnapped alongside her sister, Gift Onyesom, were said to have been rescued by soldiers around Okpella forest in Edo State on Friday.
The young lawyer and her sister were reportedly abducted along the Okene-Auchi road on Friday when gunmen intercepted their vehicle and made away with the now-rescued victims.
The kidnappers had earlier demanded for N10 million ransom before releasing the victims, a situation that immediately draw public outcry nationally.
Peace and her sister hail from Ndokwa in Delta State, but reside in Benin city, Edo State capital, with their parents.
A brother to Peace, Godspower Onyesom, confirmed the release of his sisters late Tuesday evening to journalists.

In a subsequent video released by the young lawyer, Peace confirmed that they were rescued by personnel of the Nigerian military.
She thanked Nigerians and security agencies for helping them regained freedom and reunited with their family.
She said, “Thank you, everyone. My sister and I have been rescued. The military in Okpella has rescued us.”

Gwamnishu wrote, “Peace Onyesom and Gift Onyesom, kidnapped while returning from the call to ceremony in Abuja, have just been released to us near a village in Okpella. It is a tough journey.”
