The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated prominent Niger Delta leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, on the occasion of his 55th birth anniversary, describing him as a symbol of courage, resilience and regional development.
In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire, and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, the chapel said Tompolo’s life reflects a legacy of commitment to peace, stability and progress in the Niger Delta.
The journalists noted that the milestone was not just a celebration of age but of impact, highlighting his role in transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and empowerment.
“Your life’s journey reflects the story of a leader who has consistently risen above challenges, transforming adversity into a platform for progress,” the statement read.
The NUJ commended Tompolo’s contributions to security, economic advancement and community development, noting that his influence continues to inspire unity and hope across generations.
“As watchdogs of society and partners in nation-building, we recognise and commend your strategic roles in promoting peace and safeguarding critical national assets,” the statement added.
According to the chapel, his efforts have strengthened national cohesion and reinforced confidence in sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
The union joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the ex-militant leader, praying for continued good health, wisdom and strength.
