The Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Eyavwien-Alaka I, has felicitated with the people of Olomu, both home and abroad, as they celebrate the New Year, 2026.
The revered monarch also used the opportunity to call on the people of Olomu kingdom to maintain the existing peace and brace up to the developmental needs of the kingdom in the New Year.
In a New Year message personally signed by the royal father on Thursday, Eyavwien-Alaka I said his doors are very much open to partnership that would deepen the existing peace and hasten the development of Olomu communities.
Eyavwien-Alaka I, while praying for the prosperity of every Olomu son and daughter as well as residents and business owners within the kingdom, urged everyone to be law-abiding and remain good ambassadors of the kingdom wherever they find themselves.
According to him, “My beloved people of Olomu Kingdom, as we stand at this sacred season of thanksgiving, reflection, and renewal, I extend my heartfelt greetings to you all, both at home and across the seas.
“This season reminds us that time moves forward by the grace of the Almighty and the blessings of our ancestors. It calls upon us not only to rejoice, but to reflect deeply on our conduct, our unity, and our responsibility to the land bequeathed to us by our forefathers.
“Olomu Kingdom is built on a proud heritage of honour, resilience, and dignity. From ancient times, our strength has rested on unity, respect for constituted authority, obedience to our customs and the rule of law, and an unwavering devotion to peace.
“These values have preserved our kingdom through generations, and they must continue to guide us.
“I therefore call on every true son and daughter of Olomu Kingdom, wherever you may reside, to place the interest of the kingdom above personal ambition, division, and actions capable of bringing dishonour to our land.
“Let it be remembered that no kingdom prospers in strife. Where there is disunity, progress departs; where there is lawlessness, development finds no home. Peace is the pillar upon which the greatness of Olomu stands.
“I charge every Olomu person to conduct themselves with dignity, restraint, and respect for our traditions and institutions, knowing that our actions today will echo into the lives of generations yet unborn.
“Let us renew our covenant with peace, mutual respect, hard work, and the preservation of our cherished customs and cultural values. Let us uphold the name of Olomu with pride wherever we go.
“Together, we shall build an Olomu Kingdom that commands respect, attracts development, and secures lasting prosperity for all its people.
“As we celebrate this season, may peace dwell in our homes, wisdom guide our hearts, and may the blessings of the Almighty and our ancestors rest upon Olomu Kingdom.
“I wish you all a peaceful season and a prosperous New Year.” He added.
