PDP chieftain to build Aboh market to celebrate Okowa, Osanebi election’s victories

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Niger Delta Renewable Energy expert, Engr. Kingsley Ogwu has released money for the building of Aboh market to celebrate the victory of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Deputy Speaker Delta State House Assembly, Hon. Friday Osanebi at the March 9 elections in the state.

Ogwu, shocked by the overwhelming victory of Governor Okowa and that of the deputy speaker, Osanebi, said their re-election was a testament of their good works and infrastructural development across the state and Ndokwa East LGA.

In a congratulatory statement made available to WARRI TODAY, the Aboh-born philanthropist thanked the people of the area for the supporting the Governor Okowa-led government and ensuring that he won the election overwhelmingly.


 He stated that the victory of Okowa and Osanebi was never in doubt, according to him, the good works of Okowa all over the state, his numerous projects and job creation were enough to win the hearts of Deltans.

For Osanebi, he said, “the massive empowerment programs of Osanebi left Ndokwa Easterners with only one choice, re-electing the empowerment master.”

Ogwu, fondly known as Akuneshiobike, had prior to the elections went round the ancient town of Aboh to massively mobilise the women and youths, extending also to the other 9 wards of Ndokwa East to massively deliver Okowa and Osanebi at the elections.

Ogwu, who was full of praise for the Aboh women and Youths for heeding to his call and coming out en masse to vote massively for both the governor and the deputy speaker, added that “going forward it’s his desire to partner with the state government in a bid to ensure the Aboh people and Ndokwa East in general get a feel of the presence of the government.”

The PDP chieftain stressed that in appreciation for the massive votes from the women and youths, and in fulfilment of his promise to build the Aboh market, Engr. Ogwu who has earlier lighted up the Aboh road, said he has made funds available for work to begin at the market.
