President Tinubu Returns To Abuja After Working Visit To France, London

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following an 18-day official visit and strategic retreat in France and the United Kingdom.

The presidential aircraft touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at exactly 9:50 p.m. on Monday, marking the end of his overseas engagement.

The President was warmly received by key government officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, among others.

President Tinubu departed the country on Wednesday, April 2, beginning his trip in Paris, where he participated in high-level meetings and diplomatic engagements. He later proceeded to London, where the second leg of his retreat took place.

Throughout his time abroad, the President remained actively engaged with domestic affairs, issuing directives to security chiefs on emerging threats and staying in close communication with top government officials to ensure continuity of governance.

One of the key highlights of his visit was a strategic meeting in Paris with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa at the United States Department of State.

According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in regional security and sustainable economic development.

Notably, discussions also centered on fostering multilateral partnerships to support lasting peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, with emphasis on collaborative regional efforts and shared global responsibility.
