Urhobo Ministers Hosted By Senator Dafinone In Sapele, Seek Peace, Development In Delta Central

The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has hosted members of the Urhobo Christian Ministers Association at his residence in Sapele, Delta State.

The visit, which featured prayers and discussions, was aimed at strengthening collaboration between spiritual leaders and those in governance, as well as promoting peace and development in the district.

 

The delegation was led by the President of the association, Most Rev. Prof. Solomon Gbakara, who said the visit was part of the body’s ongoing efforts to support public office holders through prayers and moral guidance.

 

According to him, the ministers prayed for divine wisdom and strength for the senator and encouraged him to remain committed to integrity, justice and selfless service to the people of Delta Central and the nation at large.

 

Receiving the delegation, Dafinone described the visit as an honour, saying he was pleased to welcome “fathers of faith in God’s vineyard” to his Sapele home.

He said the prayers and presence of the ministers were a clear indication that God’s hand was upon Delta Central Senatorial District.

 

The senator added that the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the role of faith in promoting peace, moral leadership and sustainable development.

 

Dafinone expressed appreciation for the prayers and counsel offered by the clerics, noting that collaboration between government and faith-based organisations was critical to building a safer and more prosperous society.

 

He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people with dedication and accountability.

 

The delegation included Archbishop Goddowell O. Avwomakpa and other prominent clerics, described as key pillars of spiritual guidance and unity in the area.

 

The visit ended on a positive note, further strengthening ties between spiritual leadership and governance in Delta Central.
