The Ukoko R’ Ivie Urhobo (Council of Urhobo Traditional Rulers) has congratulated the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, His Majesty, Dr. Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Eyavwie-Alaka 1, on his appointment as Chairman of the Nigerian Body of Benchers.
In a statement signed by the forum’s chairman and Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Emmanuel Sideso CON, Abe 1, said the elevation of the Olomu monarch is a source of pride and joy to the Urhobo Nation and the traditional institution in Nigeria.
The Uvwie monarch said the emergence of the monarch to the prestigious position reflects the growing influence and recognition of the Urhobo people in national affairs.
“We are excited and very happy that one of our sons has risen to this position,” he said.
Abe 1 noted that the development would further strengthen the traditional institution and enhance its contribution to national development.
He expressed optimism that Eyavwie-Alaka I’s new role would help improve representation and capacity within the Urhobo nation.
The Uvwie monarch also prayed for continued success for the Olomu traditional ruler and wished him and his family a prosperous new month.
