2027: Dafinone Praises Massive Turnout At Delta APC Campaign Flag-Off, Says Opposition Will Be Defeated

Senator representing Delta Central, Ede Dafinone, has declared that the massive turnout at the All Progressives Congress campaign flag-off in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, signals the party’s readiness to sweep all five categories of elections in Delta State in 2027.

Dafinone, who spoke to journalists on Thursday at Oleh Township Stadium, expressed confidence that the APC would record a five-over-five victory, attributing the party’s growing acceptance to the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu and the developmental achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The lawmaker described the mammoth crowds at APC rallies in Oleh and Ozoro as evidence of the party’s expanding grassroots support and organisational strength, insisting that its record in governance would remain its strongest campaign message.

He said Tinubu’s economic reforms were beginning to yield positive results, particularly in macroeconomic stability, exchange rate management and the prices of food and other essential commodities.

Dafinone also attributed the relative stability of the naira and what he described as a significant improvement in Nigeria’s foreign reserves to the Federal Government’s economic policies, claiming that the country’s reserves had reached their highest level in 18 years.

According to him, the combination of economic reforms at the federal level and infrastructure development in Delta would strengthen public confidence in the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Despite expressing optimism over the party’s electoral prospects, the senator warned APC leaders and supporters against allowing the impressive rally turnout to breed complacency.

He stressed that the party must intensify grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement if it hoped to secure a convincing victory and avoid post-election litigation.

“In this coming elections, we want to win with convincing figures, overwhelming that our opponents would have no reason to go to court,” Dafinone said.

He urged party faithful to remain vigilant and sustain mobilisation across communities, wards and polling units, insisting that the electoral contest would not be over until votes were cast, counted and results officially declared.

The Delta Central senator also commended the state APC leadership for adopting an issue-based campaign focused on governance, policies and performance rather than personal attacks.

He urged party members to counter opposition criticisms by highlighting the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, economic management and other sectors.

Dafinone maintained that Tinubu’s economic reforms, Oborevwori’s developmental programmes and the APC’s expanding grassroots structures would provide the foundation for the party’s anticipated victory in Delta State in 2027.
