…Urges APC Supporters To Mobilise 10 Voters Each For Tinubu, Oborevwori, Others
The founding leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has declared that President Bola Tinubu rescued Nigeria from a Venezuela-style economic collapse through his bold economic reforms, insisting that the President deserves another four years to consolidate the gains.
Emerhor made the declaration on Thursday at the Delta State APC campaign flag-off in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, where he also endorsed the re-election of Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, in 2027.
The APC chieftain argued that Tinubu inherited an economy weakened by years of mismanagement and unsustainable policies, saying the President’s difficult decisions had laid the foundation for economic recovery.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rescued Nigeria. If our President had not taken those bold decisions, Nigeria would have gone the way of Venezuela. Do you want Nigeria to become another Venezuela?” Emerhor asked.
He cited Venezuela, an oil-rich South American country, as an example of how poor leadership and economic mismanagement could destroy a nation despite abundant crude oil resources.
Emerhor accused some opposition figures seeking to challenge Tinubu in 2027 of being part of the political establishment responsible for Nigeria’s economic challenges, insisting that the President had demonstrated the courage to confront problems previous administrations failed to address.
He said Nigeria was beginning to experience economic stability, citing growing foreign reserves and what he described as prudent leadership under Tinubu.
The APC leader warned against changing government midway through the economic recovery process, using a building analogy to argue that Tinubu should be allowed to complete the foundation he had laid.
“We have to give President Tinubu another four years to build the skyscraper on top of the foundation he has laid,” he said.
Emerhor also praised Oborevwori’s performance under the MORE Agenda, describing the governor’s infrastructure achievements within three years as remarkable and deserving of another term.
He expressed confidence that another four years would enable Delta to surpass Lagos in development, drawing cheers from supporters.
“Look at what he has done in just three years. Give him another four years, and we will beat Lagos. Don’t you want that?” Emerhor said.
Describing the APC as the dominant political force in Delta State, the party chieftain said the large turnout at the campaign flag-off demonstrated the growing unity and strength of its stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.
He urged party members to translate the enthusiasm into grassroots mobilisation, challenging each supporter to recruit at least 10 additional voters for Tinubu and other APC candidates.
“The people in this stadium are more than 20,000. Every one of you should go back and make sure you get a minimum of ten people to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
Emerhor expressed confidence that Tinubu’s economic reforms, Oborevwori’s infrastructural achievements and APC’s political unity would deliver overwhelming electoral victories for the party in Delta State in 2027.
